A creative design house of freelance puppet, toy, prop, costume makers and designers working within the special FX industry for theatre and Film based in London, England. Paul Vincett, the company founder of Stitches and Glue, graduated with 1st class honors in Illustration. As well as running his own company, Paul works as a freelance puppet/prop/costume designer and maker for Theatre and Film. Becky Johnson trained at The London College of Fashion and has a successful career as a freelance fabricator of creature costumes, puppets and costumes.
Becky and Paul met across a workshop table whilst making a 10 foot Ogre puppet for an Opera in New York, this went onto win The New York Times’ Puppet of the Year 2010. They have been working together ever since, creating monsters for Stitches & Glue’s project: Monster Workshop, and puppets and costumes for stage shows, TV and exhibitions.

On the big screen Paul has worked on recent films such as X-men; First Class, Tim Burton’s, Dark Shadows, Thor 2 and The Harry Hill Movie.

Our very own Paul, teamed up with the very talented Toby Olie’ (one of the shows directors and puppet designer , Light Princess) to work with him on creating a three dimensional representation of the stories mischievous lead. Paul sculpted and made the lead puppet head. Following the show’s huge success in the National Theatre’s Shed at Christmas, the show has been transferred to the Westend! Here’s the ‘Whale Trail’ pilot that we worked incredibly hard on last year. Producing two creature costumes and three puppets in a very short time frame. We’re extremely happy with it, look’s great fun. (Produced by Ustwo)

The Elephantom- Transfers to the West End!!
For a ten week run at the New London theatre this summer, tickets are now on sale.
For children and grown-ups of all ages, the story of one little girl and her larger-than-life friend is brought to life with extraordinary puppetry and theatrical ingenuity.
